Gas clothes dryers are the most efficient way to dry your clothes. Clothes and towels dry quicker in a gas dryer. They are also more gentle on fabrics, allowing them to last longer.

Gas Clothes Dryers

When choosing a new gas clothes dryer you should look for the following features:

  • Automatic Cool-down
  • Pilot-less Ignition
  • Automatic Shut-off
  • Electronic Sensor Drying

Automatic cool-down keeps the dryer tumbling after the heating element has shut down. This allows synthetic fabrics to cool and not wrinkle.

Pilot-less ignition saves you money on energy costs by not requiring the pilot light to burn 24 hours a day.

Automatic shut-off is a part of the electronic sensor drying system. Instead of running the dryer based on the estimated time needed to dry your clothes, the sensor senses when they are dry and signals the dryer to automatically shut down. Like pilot-less ignition, this saves energy, but it also extends the life of the fabrics.

If your dryer is near bedrooms and you dry clothes at night, you may want to consider a gas dryer with a noise reduction package. This will cause it to be virtually silent in its operation.
